The CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2022 is fast approaching and students are well immersed in their preparation. The CBSE board exams for classes 10 and 12 start from April 26.

Board exams are undoubtedly the stepping stones to a successful future. Whether gaining admission into the college and course of one’s choice or choosing a major in high school, the board’s examination score reflects a student’s aptitude and is an indicator of his academic excellence.

Here are subject-specific tips from an expert to help you get high marks according to the updated paper model and marking scheme:

CBSE Class 10 Board Examination: Science Advice

  • According to NCERT, some chapters/topics have been removed from Science. It is therefore necessary to understand the reduced program and to practice the questions that arise from it. For example, according to the paper sample,

  • The summary of each lesson should be carefully memorized. Create flowcharts to memorize concepts concisely, ensuring review in less time. Using flash cards can be a quick memory tool.

  • In physics, formulas should be tabulated in such a way that it is easy to remember them and use the proper sign convention to solve numerical problems whenever necessary.

  • Analyze the streamlined curriculum as well as the updated paper model and grading scheme
  • Fix NCERT and Exemplar issues repeatedly
  • Thoroughly practice subjective type questions to learn the step-by-step method for answering questions
  • Practice questions based on case studies on topics such as “Surfaces and Volumes” and “Some Applications of Trigonometry”

CBSE Class 10 Board Examination: Social Science Counseling

  • NCERT In-Depth Study – The social sciences are both fact-based and concept-based. Thus, students must clarify their concepts through repeated readings of the NCERT. Link the chapters and concepts in an interconnected way and identify your weak points.
  • Clarity on the exam model – The CBSE has published a detailed outline of the exam pattern and the distribution of grades by subject. Write the answers in points according to the scoring scheme.

  • Written comprehension: Read the questions carefully before trying. Don’t be nervous if the passage is long or has difficult vocabulary. Ignore irrelevant information depending on the questions asked and understand the flow of thought in order to find the most appropriate answers.
  • In writing: Learn letter formats correctly and stick to formal tone and expression. Don’t use a fancy, wordy writing style. Stick to a complete, clear and logical style of argument. For the analytical paragraph, use comparative sentences when preparing the report of bar charts, pie charts, etc. The conclusion of the report should be given in clear terms, rather than using fanciful quotes or idioms.
  • Grammar: Practice editing, skipping, tense-based filler questions, subject-verb agreement, prepositions, and other parts of speech. Don’t worry about punctuation or spelling mistakes. Sentence transformation matters should be carefully practiced in dialogue conversion and process writing format.
  • Literature: Write short answers in one paragraph and long answers in two or three paragraphs. Precision in writing should be ignored while focusing on value points. Do not include unnecessarily long chapter summaries when writing responses. Understand the main idea of ​​the questions fairly well.
  • Practice sample papers to familiarize yourself with the updated paper model and learn time management. The sample papers provide insight into a variety of questions that can be anticipated during the actual Semester II Council exam, and thus reinforce the student’s preparation before the paper.
  • Try the paper with a strategy that suits your style of paper. Always start with the questions you are most confident about to build your confidence. Once you’ve covered the main set of questions, move on to questions that require more reading time.
  • A thorough revision of the literature chapters and the poetry section is essential. Read each line carefully to remember key details. Don’t just focus on recalling chapter summaries. CBSE Class 10 Board Exam: Hindi and other languages

  • Understand the program and the paper model well. It is important to plan an exam preparation strategy and clarify how to attempt the test.
  • Take a deep read of the chapters focusing on the tone, mood, theme, and character traits of the speaker to respond with subjective clarity.
  • Critical appreciation of the poems and lessons is imperative. Connect them to the central idea and the message conveyed through the chapters.
  • Solve questions from the previous year to develop time management skills and writing accuracy.
  • Practice writing answers and solving grammatical questions. Try to write compositions every day and solve as many questions as possible.
