HIGH POINT, NC—The High Point University women’s lacrosse team defeated Presbyterian College 19-4. Abby Hormes set a new program record for most goals in a single game with nine, breaking Allie Foard’s school record of eight which she also set against PC in 2015. It was the annual Friends Foundation game of Jaclyn from HPU and the 10th Annual Mason Run 5K. HPU Women’s Lacrosse raised over $5,000 this weekend for the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation.

Lyndsey Boswell: “Really happy to get that conference win back on our home turf. It’s the second time this week that we’ve had to get everyone involved and get a lot of offensive contributions. Abby Hormes leading the way and she’s done such a great job, but she couldn’t do it without the support around her that she has Nicole Poug and Mena Loescher who carry a lot of weight for our offense and lead the way for our young girls and we get a ton of contributions which is great to see.”

Coach Boswell at the 10th Annual HPU Women’s Lacrosse Mason Race“We ran the Mason Run, Friends of Jaclyn 5K this morning for the tenth year in a row and raised over $5,000. We’re so happy to honor Mason (former Honorary Captain) every time we’re there- low. To win his special day this afternoon was really special.”
