Patient satisfaction is important to physicians. Patients may not be 100% satisfied, but doctors must try.
It is necessary to arrange advice for doctors so that they can talk with patients to satisfy them. For this, the subject of counseling must be added to the medical program.
If this topic is incorporated into MBBS and post-graduate programs, doctors will learn about it and can convince their patients thoroughly. But the topic shouldn’t just focus on passing exams, it should be practical.
If you cannot satisfy patients, your qualifications and skills will be of no use. It may be possible to get a Nobel Prize by doing thorough research, but people won’t recognize you if you can’t satisfy your patients.
Patients often allege that doctors don’t give them enough time, don’t touch them with their hands, and prescribe medical tests and medications without properly listening to their problems.
Nowadays, many patients in the country travel abroad for treatment, even if it is very expensive, just because the doctors there speak carefully to their patients. Patients who go abroad for treatment even say that the doctors there also listen to the story of their parents and grandparents, but the doctors in our country prescribe drugs before they even hear about the problems.
People won’t respect us anymore if the situation continues like this. It may sound boring, but it’s the reality. Doctors should be careful of this.
A doctor must spend enough time with his patients, talk to them and examine them. Patients should be informed of the disease.
If you cannot tell a patient that the disease he is suffering from will not improve, you must explain this to those close to him. Then there will be less misunderstanding. Otherwise, the patients or their relatives will think that the doctor gave them the wrong treatment.
It is important to talk to patients and their loved ones to clear up these kinds of misunderstandings.
Also, doctors should order as few tests as possible and they should be ordered taking into account the patient’s condition.
Another important thing is that in our country 80% of services are provided by doctors in training. We must therefore also take into account their conditions.
If you want good service from them, you have to give them something. Young doctors lag behind other cadres in many areas. Doctor satisfaction is also important, otherwise they will not be happy to provide services. The question of their promotion must also be considered.
