When Method Man came to Colorado to perform with the Wu-Tang Clan at Red Rocks Amphitheater last August, the rapper and actor launched an original line of cannabis flowers that delighted fans. Method Man returned this week for two gigs, including a Wednesday performance at the stoner-focused 420 on the rocksbringing with it another smokable ad.
Method Man is collaborating with two local companies to launch TICAL edibles and several concentrates in the coming months. This includes three types of erasers with Calledrecently appointed the best cannabis brand to watch in colorado by the analysis company BDSA, and three products concentrated with Soiku Bano, the best rosin maker in denver, according to Westword.
Both companies are working with Vera Cultivation, Method Man’s growth partner, to create the new products.
Additionally, Method Man will visit two out of 420 Denver dispensaries to celebrate the holiday. He should be at LivWell Enlightened Health at 432 S. Broadway around 4:30 p.m. and at LivWell Enlightened Health at 2863 Larimer St. at 5:30 p.m. At both locations, you can find TICAL flowers for sale.
“Colorado has been critically important to the recent history of cannabis cultivation in America. Its smart, practical, and progressive policies have allowed people like me to associate and thrive with pioneers in the industry like Vera Cultivation and rolling out new products with established local players,” Method Man said in a statement. “Colorado is dope.”
While many details about the new collaborations are yet to be determined, here’s what we know.
Dialed In makes three flavors of gum from three strains of TICAL flowers. Like all Dialed In products, they use full-spectrum live rosin extract. (New to these words? Get the definitions here.)
Flavors include grape punch and watermelon breeze gummies use Free MAC marijuana; Blood Orange and Arugula Berry Candies consuming Sherbet Cake cannabis; and dragon fruit and sour gummies using the rapper’s Headbanger Boogie variety.
TICAL gummies are set to release May 3 at Medicine Man stores in Denver, Longmont, Aurora and Thornton.
Soiku Bano is currently developing three products, according to the Method Man camp: Live Rosin Cartridge, Live Rosin Concentrate, and Sauce. Details are limited, but are expected to be released on July 10, another smoker’s holiday that celebrates marijuana oil. (Wondering why? If you flip the date 7/10, it looks like the word “oil.”)
TICAL is an acronym for “Considering All Lives,” and is also the title of Method Man’s 1994 solo album. It’s more than the name of his brand of marijuana; the saying also embodies his mission to “raise awareness of historical racial and ethnic disparities and inequalities in the criminal justice and business aspects of the cannabis space,” the rapper previously said.
