Rangers have completed the signing of forward Tom Lawrence from Derby County subject to international clearance.

The 28-year-old has spent the past five seasons with Derby in the Sky Bet Championship, scoring 35 goals and providing 25 assists in over 180 appearances for the Rams.

Lawrence, who has 23 caps for Wales, said: “I’m delighted to have joined Rangers and I’m delighted to start.

“The club is known around the world for its history, its successes and its fanbase and I can’t wait to be a part of it and to be able to play in front of the Ibrox supporters.”

Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst added: “I’m really delighted we were able to secure Tom’s signature and he will add further to our attacking options.

“He has gained valuable experience over several years with Derby County and I look forward to working with him this season.”

Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson added: “I would like to welcome Tom to Rangers, it is great to have him join the team this summer.

“He is another important addition to the squad ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.”

Lawrence becomes Rangers’ fourth signing of the summer window following the arrivals of John Souttar, Zak Lovelace – Millwall and Antonio Colak.

Antonio Colak says he will give 100 per cent for Rangers after his £1.8million move from PAOK.

New Rangers striker Antonio Colak told Sky Sports:

“It’s an amazing feeling to be a Rangers player. I was just waiting to sign the paperwork to go see the team and the staff at the club. I got a lot of nice messages.

“That’s what I’m here for. I was waiting to step onto the pitch and be as fit as possible. For a first day, it was a great experience.

“I want to fight and give my 100% on the pitch and succeed with the team by scoring goals. The manager told me about his style and the way he wants to play.

“He says I can fit into the team and I have real confidence in him. I just want to show what he expects of me and achieve my personal goals.

“Everyone tells me about the experience of playing as a home player at Ibrox and I can’t wait to see it. I want to give the fans all my energy back. I feel like we’re going to have a great time.”
