Villarreal manager Unai Emery has said he will not underestimate Europa Conference League opponent Lech Poznan.
Emery knows Villarreal should beat the Poles tonight.
He said: “We want to give continuity to what we did both in pre-season and at the start of La Liga. We also want to strengthen our style, be demanding in the search for a good performance and be able to hope on the road to Europe which has given us some great moments.
“Winning is very difficult. It will be a beautiful path, but also a complicated one. You can’t set yourself the goal of winning the competition. The first goal we have set ourselves is to finish first in the group stage.
“The whole group is very motivated. The challenge is to be able to maintain consistency and motivation in the three competitions and that everyone is involved. This will be the main difficulty of our journey.
“Lech Poznan is a team that plays in a league with a lot of history. It is a team with important references that we have to respect. In the league, they are back in form after winning their last three games. They have good players on the flanks, they are used to winning in their league, they play good football and they have a lot of internationals.”
