The former Australian spinner also went on to say that India are favorites to win the upcoming T20 WC in Australia.

Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was excellent in the second ODI game against England at the Lords in London. The leg spinner scalped a total of four wickets and gave up just 47 runs. He also put his name in the history books after casting an Indian’s best spell in an ODI match at Lords. However, the Indian team lost this game by 100 points.

Meanwhile, Australian spinner Brad Hogg praised Chahal and said he was among the best. Hogg also went on to say that Chahal has adapted very well as a bowler and has found a method to rebuild himself and return to competition.

The former Australian spinner also said India are favorites to win the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.

“He’s up there. I think the leg rotation in T20 cricket is probably the most effective option, especially in those intermediates,” Hogg said on the sidelines of a Western Australia tourism event.

“What I love about Chahal is that he’s among the best, just the way he’s adapted his game over the last two years. He had a period there where he was discovered, but then he found a method to rebuild himself and get back into the contest. He also grew as an individual. So that’s another reason India is the favorite to win the T20 World Cup, its growth over the past two years. He is going to have a better tournament in Australia,” he added.

Hogg also spoke about South Africa’s decision to withdraw from the ODI game against the Men in Yellow in January next year with a new T20 league to be played in their country. “They (South Africa) pulled out of touring Australia (ODI) for their T20 competition, for me that’s disappointing,” Hogg said.
